Blue Ridge Intermediate School
Blue Ridge, Texas
Blue Ridge Intermediate School is a new 75,000 SF campus designed for 450 students, featuring 20 classrooms, two science labs, two SPED classrooms, a media center, a fine arts room, and athletic spaces. Serving grades 3–5, the campus includes a full-occupancy storm shelter. The design leverages the site’s natural topography to create a sheltered outdoor play area and frames key views that strengthen the connection between the building and its landscape. A pod-style academic layout promotes collaboration, while secure outdoor areas provide direct access to exterior learning and play spaces, reinforcing the school’s role as both an educational environment and a community resource.
