The 63,000-square-foot Melissa High School Arena was designed as a flexible, multipurpose venue that supports varsity basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and winter guard, as well as performing arts, marching band, faculty functions, and community events. Guided by a clear vision from the athletic director, coaches, and Duke Sparks, Director of Community Partnerships & Athletic Operations, the design captures the spirit of the Melissa Cardinals while maintaining an aesthetic suitable for both sports events and formal gatherings. Fixed seating attached to concrete risers, telescoping seating, adaptable lighting, integrated audiovisual systems, and specialized equipment allow the arena to seamlessly transform to accommodate a wide range of events.
