A lifelong advocate for student success, Kelly’s career has been defined by her dedication to fostering critical thinking, social responsibility, and a love of learning. Starting as an elementary teacher, she moved into leadership roles including assistant principal, curriculum director, and assistant superintendent before becoming superintendent of Bonham ISD. Under her leadership, the district achieved significant milestones in academic programs and community engagement.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from East Texas State University, a Master of Educational Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and multiple certifications, including superintendent and principal certifications. After retiring from public education, Kelly saw an opportunity to extend her impact by joining WRA. “Education has been my life purpose,” she says.

“Working with WRA allows me to continue affecting student learning and interacting with education professionals, but now through building design and educational planning.”

As an educational planner, Kelly will collaborate with architects, planners, and school leaders to design schools that inspire future generations of learners. She is passionate about creating flexible, collaborative learning environments that accommodate diverse teaching methods, independent work, and hands-on exploration.

“School design plays a crucial role in fostering student success,” Kelly explains. “A well-designed environment promotes positive social interactions, reduces stress, and inspires students to reach their full potential.”

Please join us in welcoming Kelly Trompler to the WRA team. Her vision and expertise will undoubtedly enhance our mission to create innovative learning spaces that serve students, educators, and communities.
